We are happy to announce that Ares Basketball will be hosting the local 2020 Jr. NBA Skills Challenge!
What is the Jr. NBA Skills Challenge?
The Jr. NBA Skills Challenge presented by Under Armour provides boys and girls, ages 13 and younger, the opportunity to showcase their basketball skills through a dribbling, shooting, and rebounding competition. The program is free for all 13 and under for both boys and girls.
What are the Requirements to Participate?
The main thing to take into recommendation is age. I know of a few kids that are just short of making the age group requirement. There is no one allowed over 13 even if your birthday is just a day away. Age groups are based upon the participant’s age as of August 31, 2020.

Why Should I Participate in the Jr. NBA Skills Challenge?
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place finishers in each age and gender group are submitted and advance to a Regional Competition. If the participant wins at both the local competition and regional competition, they will win an all expense trip to NYC from the NBA to participate and watch the NBA draft.
Where and When Will the Local Jr. NBA Skills Challenge be Held?
We will be hosting the Jr. NBA Skills Challenge at an elementary school in Mountain House. To gain access to the location, please sign up to participate. We do this to limit unexpected guests showing up un-prepared and helps streamline the process a little more.
